Locked In Bedroom, a Growth Opportunity
You know how they say that "resentment is a poison you drink?" The truth of that statement hit me today. I had slept poorly on the couch, instead of my bed, which I share with my humans. The door was shut to my room, I got mad, it was a bit of a thing...no need to go into it. Suffice to say I was angry when my humans woke and left my bedroom. In my bitterness I snuck in and hid under the bed and ignored their repeated calls. The woman even looked for me under the bed but I was hiding behind a shoebox and a plastic bin where she stores her off-season clothing. She shut the bedroom door on her way out, unknowingly locking me in the room. My anger dissipated over time and was replaced by an awareness of my own foolishness. My humans were enjoying their days and here I was hungry, alone, and needing to use my litter box.
